📗 Grade 7 Math Outcomes (California CA CCSSM)
In 7th grade, students build on 6th-grade foundations and move toward more advanced reasoning with rational numbers, algebra, and geometry:
1. Ratios and Proportional Relationships
Analyze proportional relationships and solve real-world problems using unit rates.
Represent proportional relationships with equations, tables, and graphs.
2. The Number System
Apply and extend understanding of operations with rational numbers (fractions, decimals, and integers).
3. Expressions and Equations
Solve multi-step problems using numerical and algebraic expressions and equations.
Work with expressions, equations, and inequalities.
4. Geometry
Use properties of angles and shapes to solve problems.
Know and use formulas for area, surface area, and volume of geometric figures.
5. Statistics and Probability
Analyze data sets to make inferences and predictions.
Develop probability models and calculate probabilities for compound events.
